The Mirror

(Episode 2)

“I am Elize, the queen of the dark world that lies on the other side of the mirror. The side where no one can get in unless I want”

Jenny shuddered. She felt like if her legs weren’t bound then she would’ve fled, and there was no way she could shout because no one would hear her. There were no windows, and the only door to the room was totally shut. The woman continued to say-

“I’m here for some reason, Jenny. I’ll retire from my throne and I want someone to take my place. And I think that you’re the perfect one”

Jenny was hysterical, she didn’t know if she could show any emotions, but she gathered some courage and dared to say-

“Are you trying to prank me??”

“You think?”

The woman spread her hands, a blinding purple light glowed in her hands and out of the blue a staff appeared in her outstretched hands. She held her staff in her right hand and stomped it hard on the floor. The upper part of the staff looked like the head of a snake with its hood on at charge, sticking its tongue out with green glowing eyes; while the lower part stood rigid and straight.  The staff or rather the snake head hissed. The woman said-

“Do you still doubt me, Jenny?”

Jenny now noticed the thing then she asked hesitantly-

“H-How do you even know my name?”

“Oh I know everything about you honey” the woman replied with a wicked smile.

“But why did you choose me for th-“

The woman didn’t wait to hear her out. She lifted her staff up and the blinding purple light flashed again and rushed towards Jenny in great speed. She felt a piercing run all over her body. She screamed at the top her lungs and blacked out.

She woke with bruises all over her body. She looked around and found herself in a large stone walled hall. She couldn’t remember except the blinding light. She tried to stand up but her limbs were in sheer pain.
