The Book of Horrors

(episode 3)

“Date – 26/05/1994

I am Anna. I lived alone in my apartment. For some reason, from the day I had come to this apartment, I had been experiencing very strange and mysterious happenings. There had been apparitions, strange smells, strange movements of things, sudden change in change in the temperature of the room. I thought I was hallucinating, because I had never lived alone. But then, suddenly one day I saw marks on my body, and from that day I started waking up with bruises and marks on my body, as if had been beaten up at night.

I talked to the landlord about this, but he just ignored the topic saying that I was just hallucinating, but I knew I was not. I tried telling this to my mom and my friend but they too didn’t believe me. That day when I returned from work I was very tired. I threw my purse somewhere on the couch and myself on my bed. I was trying to forget about the ghastly happenings. I started to browse through my photos. That’s when I noticed the bloodspots on the wall; they were bloody footprints of some creature. A chill ran down my spine. A shiver ran through my body, I felt as if my heart beat ten times faster.

I slid down from my bed. My feet and hands were cold, chills ran down my spine. I gathered some courage, and followed the footprints, they had come down on the floor, and it seemed that the creature had jumped down from the wall, in front of the bathroom. So I followed them up to the bathroom, the door being slightly open I gave it a light push and it opened completely. But it opened to reveal a much more horrifying sight. The bathroom was bloody, and there were bloody foot prints everywhere. I gasped when I went in front of the mirror, because in its reflection I could see a figure standing behind me.

Maybe it was the same creature whose footprints I had seen on the wall. The creature standing in front of me had burnt, scraped and a bloody body. Its face was a total bloody mess, with two yellow teeth hanging down till its chin. Two beady, black eyes stared at me and it made a strange growling sound. I really wanted to think I was dreaming, because the creature didn’t seem real to me, I had never seen such a thing in my life. Its long bony limbs and the huge claws were so unearthly and unnatural. But whether or not it was, I knew I would die today. My hands and feet were ice cold. Chills ran down my spine and shivers ran through my body. My hair stood still, I could almost feel my heart beat. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out except some gruesome bugs, I started choking and throwing up bugs. A sharp pain ran through my body, I fell on my knees.’

At this point Tony looked up at his friends and they gestured him to go on.
